Life Transitions

Change is one of the only true constants in life, whether it's a new career, a new baby, or the end of a relationship. And it is my personal belief that we could all use more support as we navigate these changes. Therapy can help you to identify what is important, address any feelings of loss or anxiety, and chart a new path forward.

Who is it For?

Anyone who is feeling overwhelmed with navigating a big life change (including the positive ones). This can look like increased worry, feeling sad or lonely, sleep challenges, increased conflict in your relationship, or increased physical symptoms of stress.

My Approach

I will start by getting to know you and your strengths. We will utilize these strengths, along with some new ones I can introduce, to navigate the transition with improved confidence, self-compassion, and a sense of calm. I often integrate interventions from mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and acceptance and commitment-based approaches.

What to Expect

Sessions would be weekly and virtual and may switch to biweekly as you start to feel better. Treatment length varies depending on a patient's treatment goals but improvements in quality of life can be achieved in as short as 3 months.

If you are on the fence about whether or not your current experiences even warrant therapy, I would respectfully say yes! We could all use more skills, more support, more time to process. Therapy is a great place to do all of these things.
